The footage of Leatherface heading towards a fairground looked promising..as does the inclusion of footage from the original in that trailer....shows they ARE trying to do a direct follow up ...

Not long to wait now either way.....

Says it all...

Hit the heavy metal music, fast-forward 40 years, and conveniently toss that "direct sequel" nonsense out the nearest window. We're five minutes in and any lingering "direct" connection to the original film is LONG gone.

Also his family is only in the first 5 minutes of the movie!!!

Stuff this....I will wait a few years until they reboot it again..fingers crossed the law of averages works out next time!!

Not a huge surprise though they did a nice job of making the trailer seem pretty intense. Ef it, I will probably go see this next week anyway...I have a theatrical horror itch that needs scratchin' and the pickings are slim.
