I acquired it two decades ago in the days of my trading tapes with other collectors. There were a couple who provided a handful of pretty exclusive titles, and this came from one of them. It still has the timecode running at the bottom of the print.

I think there might be copies out there that were released into the internet ether recently.

    • Ha, so it's got time code on it? Was it a work print maybe?

I'll look again at the usual spots to see if anything comes up.

I think that's probably right, Ian. Other tapes I got from various traders back then had the same thing.

          • Hey, Bruce! Yep, still out there building the collection, and frequently checking Cinema Arcana for upcoming releases. Thanks for that.

And so as not to hijack this thread, below is a list (not including HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS) of bigfoot/yeti/abominable snowman flicks I've seen. I figure they're all about primate-like cryptids so deserve to be catalogued together. Most are horror films. I've listed aka titles for a few, and what the source was if it's not in my collection.

ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN OF THE HIMALAYAS (1957)
            AJOOBA KUDRAT KA (1991; Indian)
BEAST AND THE VIXENS (aka BEAUTIES AND THE BEAST; 1974)
            BIGFOOT (1970)
BIGFOOT (2006; watched this on Video on Demand)
BIGFOOT COUNTY (2012; watched this on Video on Demand)
BIGFOOT: LOST COAST TAPES (2012; watched this on Video on Demand)
            BIGFOOT: MAN OR BEAST (1970)
            BOGGY CREEK II (1984)
            CAPTURE OF BIGFOOT (1979)
            CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE (1976)
            CRY WILDERNESS (1987)
            CURSE OF BIGFOOT (1975)
            DEMONWARP (1988)
            EXISTS (2014)
            GEEK (1971)
            HALF HUMAN (1958)
            IN SEARCH OF BIGFOOT (1976)
IN THE SHADOW OF BIGFOOT (1977)
            LEGEND OF BIGFOOT (1975)
            LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK (1972)
LEGEND OF THE DESERT BIGFOOT (1995)
            MAN BEAST (1956)
MONSTER OF THE VOLCANO (1963; Mexican)
            MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS (1975)
            NIGHT OF THE DEMON (1980)
NIGHT OF THE HOWLING BEAST (aka THE WEREWOLF VS. THE YETI; 1975)
            RETURN TO BOGGY CREEK (1977)
            SASQUA (1975)
            SASQUATCH (aka THE UNTOLD; 2002)
            SASQUATCH: LEGEND OF BIGFOOT (1976)
SASQUATCH MOUNTAIN (aka DEVIL ON THE MOUNTAIN; 2006)
            SEARCH FOR THE BEAST (1997)
            SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED (1974)
            SNOWBEAST (1979)
            SNOW CREATURE (1954)
            SNOW DEVILS (1967)
SUBURBAN SASQUATCH (2004; didn't watch the whole thing, as I couldn't get past the CGI)
THEY CALL HIM SASQUATCH (2003; comedy with Neal McDonough)
WILD MAN OF THE NAVIDAD (2008)
            YETI (1977)

And these are some borderline titles...

BLOOD BEAST OF MONSTER MOUNTAIN (aka LEGEND OF BLOOD MOUNTAIN; 1965/1976)
EYES IN THE DARK (2010; saw this on YouTube)
            FEAR RUNS SILENT (2000)
            JAANI DUSHMAN (1979; Indian)
SCREAMS OF A WINTER NIGHT (1979)
            TANYA'S ISLAND (1980)
TEENAGERS BATTLE THE THING (1958; film from which footage for CURSE OF BIGFOOT was taken)

Believe it or not, this is less than half of the bigfoot, etc. flicks out there. Most of the ones I haven't seen were made in the last decade!

            • AJOOBA KUDRAT KA
This popped up on CG but apparently it's not the full movie.

                  • I was honestly shocked that this wasn't made by a 17-year-old kid.

                    • Suburban Sasquatch is awesome. There's an interview with the director on the 100th episode of No Budget Nightmares, he comes across as a super nice guy.

                      • As Mike said in the RLM video, I can't tell if the director is clueless or he's pulling an Andy Kaufman.

                            • He also had some bad CG and his mother singing the end theme song, so there's that.
