Disappointed to concur with everyone else on this one. I suspect that at some point there was a draft of the screenplay that didnt suck. There's some fun ideas and good gags in there. They did not shoot that version of the script. Whatever was decent in the script gets drowned under these endless cgi fight scenes that I suspect are meant to be the films raison d'etre but are instead just fucking exhausting.

You cut all that crap and you're left with a 45 minute movie but it's probably an excellent 45 minute movie because Cage and Hoult are damned good in this.

This is now on Amazon Prime Video for free, so I decided to take the plunge and watch it. It's heresy to say this, I know (polished turd, etc., etc., yeah, I get it), but I really enjoyed the movie, for what it is, a comedy action film with elements of horror. And, based on any other films I've spoken positively about in this forum before, take that with a shaker full of salt.

I would never say it was a GOOD movie, but I found it entertaining enough, and it had some genuinely funny lines.
