Still, I'm shocked to see all 12 films in one collection. I would think someone has already done a fanedit of Part 7 restoring the work print gore footage.

      Yes I do, kinda.

I place it after Jason VS Freddy. It only feels right that JvsF comes after JgtH because of the Fright Glove end. Then after that malarky comes the reboot then Jason X.

      Maybe.

Right, that's a better way of looking at it. I haven't watched F Vs. J in years so I sort of forgot that one. The way I see it the flashback was done ala Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness, and the rest is just Jason doing what Jason does best.

Yeah that's how I see it. I don't put too much stock into the flashback, although I do think it's neat. I don't demand things line up perfectly. For whatever reason the continuity in the Friday series always worked for me, it all fits fine ... inside my head!

Although I was watching the classic Universal Mummy series the past couple days and like Friday if you add up the actual time line it should be way into the future even before Jason X. A lot of time passes between each entry, so while it's seems to be a product of the 80's, in the setting of the movies the reality would be decades and decades passing. The jumps from part 1 to 2, 4 to 6 and 7 are the biggest culprits. Jason growing up to a full grown monster man. Tommy Jarvis growing up to a full grown man. Tina in part 7 growing up. But it all just adds to my enjoyment of the series, it's great and I think it adds to the mythology of Jason creating more of a timeless boogeyman moster.

I really hate the disc goes in a cardboard pocket packaging.

A better look at the front cover art. Not surprisingly, it features Jason.

Ari's band is playing at a horror convention in Albany soon.

I like that his keytar is shaped like a giant machete.

Ha, oh man, the First Jason album - Jason is Watching - is on Spotify.

They need to include some live clips on that extras DVD or this set will be complete bullshit.
