I find it amazing that he can get financed when his father can't these days. Antiviral was an interesting concept but I didn't think much of the end result.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

Production may have just been delayed because of Corona.

I really liked Antibodies when I first watched it, but that was years ago when it was 'brand new' and I honestly don't remember much about it except that there was a scene shot near a porno store that was in front of a bus stop I used to catch a bus at on my way to work when I lived in Hamilton.

The lab grown celebrity meat thing was great, but it ended up reminding me of Stereo and Crimes of the Future which look better on paper compared to actually sitting through them. Plus it really seemed to be too close to his father's work for comfort. I hope this new one stakes its own territory.

That was my main problem with it, although I did like it.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

This is playing at a local theater, but I'm too scared to go. It's also playing at a local drive-in (paired up with papa David's DEAD ZONE), but I'm too lazy to go.

I couldn't resist going to check this out at the theater and it was worth it. It's a really interesting and involving sci-fi thriller. Much is being made of the uncut version - there was even a disclaimer at the beginning stating that "this film has NOT been modified from its' original version" - and it's really not hyperbole: this movie is brutal and contains some striking scenes of extreme gore. I would imagine the R-rated version will be significantly cut down (there's some graphic sex as well, including a couple shots of fully-engorged weiners). Great sound design, too and it was really, really loud.

This is now playing on Hulu, for those who have that streaming service. Good flick, especially if you like your sci-fi cold and violent. The apple definitely didn't fall far from the tree.
                              VHS will never die!
