Currently biting my lip and *not* pre-ordering this one, despite having waited years for a decent blu-ray version of 'Dawn..'.

I'm sure that whatever pleasure I'd gain when it drops on the doormat would soon be nullified by my wife's reaction when I try to persuade her we're watching 'Dawn of the Dead' for the third consecutive weekend ("..but it's a different cut", etc).

Soundtracks are nice bonuses, but to be honest I already have all that stuff in my mp3 library and never listen to it, and for the money saved here, I could probably pick up a nice vinyl copy of the Goblin score, should I wish to. I'd be interested to check out the novelisation, but... not £70-worth of interested. Will wait it out for a standard edition.

I wasn't going to, but I've ordered the UHD set. I was going to wait for a standard release, but what the hell. I've bought this bastard so many times already.

It better improve on the underwhelming Italian UHD that I have or it's going on Ebay.

I wonder what the aspect ratio will be. I've always found 1.85:1 to be a little tight; 1.66:1 would be ideal.

EDIT: Region B? Eat my shit.

Wise, and expected decision. But, you know, I think the initial plan to charge for pre-orders on something that is like half a year out was a real dick move.

Second Sight announced that the scan for DOTD is done, they've got about 4 weeks of frame by frame color correction and HDR work to do and that they're still working on extras. They're shooing for a Feb. release date.
