I'd be interested in this, Arrow extras tend to be pretty solid.

The current discs are pretty comprehensive, I'm not sure what else they can do extras-wise unless they include some of Wes' porn! Joking aside, it would be cool if they include the original porno screenplay as an extra. Hoping they can improve the picture.

^^this, I watched my LHOTL Blu-ray a few days ago and the extras are very comprehensive, two commentary tracks and half a dozen documentaries and more will be hard to top. I do love Arrows art and packaging so I might double dip.

I'm not sure what I'll do until I see the full artwork & reviews. I like the film but rarely watch it and I own the UK dvd release that opens up and all the printing is in red. It looks great so Arrow would have to top that. Also, I like the way the film transfer looks on that dvd release (I can't remember the company).

I own that version as well, it was put out by Metrodome, It too has over 5 hours in extras and is a really nice package as well. I love this film and own every digital release it's had thus far.

Wow quite the package, I'll be ordering it. It's 29.99 Uk which is a little pricey, I'll see if I can find it cheaper closer to street date.

That's a bit of a bold claim from Arrow claiming to be the uncut version, mmmmm Is the R version the previous uncut version or a pointless cut variant?

Wonder if any of this has been included?

-"Lesbian rape scene" - One scene long thought lost, except as a photographic still, is the two female victims forced to commit sexual acts on each other in the woods. This forced lesbian rape scene was included as an outtake with no sound on the Metrodome Three-Disc DVD Ultimate Edition and on the 2011 Blu-ray release.

-"Mari in her room" - There are photographic stills showing a nude Mari in her room reading birthday cards in the beginning of the movie; this scene no longer exists.

-"Mari raped by Sadie" - Footage of Sadie committing sexual acts against Mari in the woods is often removed, even from some DVDs that have been labeled as "uncut".

                  -"Extended disembowelling scene"

I used to have the R rated cut on VHS. Not really worth bothering with apart from the static preview for LHOL2 on the tape which never materialised.

Unless they're re-editing the old Craven/Cunningham commentary, I'll be assuming the cut isn't going to be any different.

Yes, there were two versions, but I ended up with the cut one.

                          Release date: 28/29 May

MARI, SEVENTEEN, IS DYING. EVEN FOR HER THE WORST IS YET TO COME!

The directorial debut of Wes Craven, the man behind such horror favourites as A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes and Scream, The Last House on the Left justly retains its reputation as one of the most harrowing cinematic experiences of all time, nearly half a century on from its original release.

On the eve of her 17th birthday, Mari and friend Phyllis set off from her family home to the big city to attend a concert by shock-rockers Bloodlust. Attempting to pick up some marijuana on the way, the pair run afoul of a group of vicious crooks, headed up by the sadistic and depraved Krug (David Hess). Gagged and bound, the young women are bundled into a car trunk and driven to the woods, where the gang subject them to a terrifying ordeal of sexual humiliation, torture and murder.

Unleashed on an unsuspecting public in 1972, The Last House on the Left shocked audiences with its graphic and unflinching portrayal of interpersonal violence, paving the way for a whole host of cheap imitators looking to capitalise on its success. It is Wes Craven's original alone, however, that remains one of the true watershed moments in horror (and indeed, film) history.

                              I hope they include the footage Roy Frumkes discovered in 2008 which was included on the previous 3x disc UK Metrodome dvd release, 4 mins of silent footage it includes the following;

-"Lesbian rape scene" - the two female victims forced to commit sexual acts on each other in the woods.

-"Mari raped by Sadie" - Footage of Sadie committing sexual acts against Mari in the woods.

There are some other small pieces included as well, such as Phyllis turning away from the gang after her forced urination.

I seem to recall an interview where Roy Frumkes says Wes Craven didn't want all the stuff he recovered put back into the film, anyone got a link for that. The scenes above look like outtakes to me, were there more that were shot and not used in the previous dvd?

As it stands at the moment Arrow have given no confirmation this footage will be included, i've tagged them on FB and done some censored screenshots to bring this to their attention, so who knows?
