I know most people who bought this probably just watched the Blu-ray, but could someone check the DVD that came in the package? The movie on my DVD has a strange stuttering effect, although I checked one of the special features and it plays fine. Thanks in advance...

Unfortunately, after nearly 2 weeks, I haven't heard back from Louis (I had used the email address on the website, which I assume is the appropriate one to use). I even offered to buy something from their online store and just have him tuck the DVD in the package he would send out to me, so he wouldn't incur any additional cost to issue a replacement. But I couldn't wait much longer, as Amazon gives you one month to return an item, so I sent it back this afternoon and requested a refund rather than a replacement. I'm not sure if going forward, Massacre is going to be neglecting their DVD manufacture because they've started doing Blu-ray, but that would be odd since most of their output so far has been in the former format. I've purchased several of their previous releases, yet I doubt I'll buy any of their products in the future because of this experience.

I seem to recall there was an issue with the DVD half of their HACK-O-LANTERN combo release as well. I don't remember where I read it.

Watched this last night, hadn't seen it before, and I kinda loved it. I didn't think it was dull at all, but then, it deals with a Satanic cult out in the desert and that scratches a few itches for me in terms of offering up what I like in 70's horror movies. I was kind of surprised by the ending - without spoiling it the person I thought would turn out to save the day did not. It was pretty easy to figure out who was behind all of it from the start, but I still enjoyed it. I loved the scenes of the robed cultists walking through the desert by torchlight.

Funny that Dobbs used the same sets for the porno movie he made.

I watched this last night, and as usual enjoyed it. My dvd-r is a copy from Midnight Video with foreign subs burned in. Thought about picking up the bd, but I can't locate any online reviews. Thankfully I stumbled on this thread and since it has problems with the dvd, will probably pass on it. Granted, I never watch the dvds in these bundles, but you are paying for it.
