I should emphasize that I wouldn't say the Zombiweens (I like that) are amazing or anything. "Decent" is the word I would use and they're decent when compared to the greater slasher pantheon. They're not as bad as something like Evil Laugh or Memorial Valley Massacre.

That is my thoughts pretty much exactly. The original Halloween is pretty much an American Giallo. Were as part 2 is your standard slasher. Zombies Halloween 2 feels less like a slasher and more like some kind of fever dream.

High or not,and I wasn't high when I posted my thoughts,I still prefer the remake of Halloween 2 to the original. But I would also rather watch Jaws 2 or 3 than the original. And do not like The Exorcist. Also seems like I am one of the few that likes Argento's Phantom of the Opera. Yeah I know I got odd tastes.

So true sir. There was a horror forum I use to post at often. And there I caught so much shit since my tastes in horror cinema didn't line up with most of the posters there. That is why I love this place. Everyone is nice and civil.

People who get mad about movies are amusing.

Looks like this is set to start shooting soon and that Carpenter might be scoring it.

So the next film is set to be a direct sequel to the original?

                              But... They did that already...

Edit: the only way I could see this whole "No. THIS is the real sequel." BS working is if...

                              (A) Opening scene reveals that parts 3-8 were just a bad dream.

                              (B) They pull some multi-verse BS and our characters are aware of alternate realities.

                              (C) They go the meta route ala Wes Craven's New Nightmare.

It would actually be very impressive if they just never acknowledged it.
