It's a pretty good anthology flick. I'd be interested in the extras.

"We're getting more Tales From the Hood from director Rusty Cundieff, which recently wrapped filming in New Orleans.

It was revealed late last week that Keith David, best known to horror fans from both John Carpenter's The Thing and They Live, would be replacing Clarence Williams III as the film's funeral director. Now, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively reveal the addition of Bryan Batt, who not only starred in MTV's “Scream” series, but also “Mad Men” and 12 Years a Slave."

I somehow missed this news, but I think that is a great job of re-casting a role.

Odd that I've never seen this one as it used to pop up frequently on late night cable.

Horror is back in the hood! The sequel to the ground-breaking original film Tales From the Hood reunites executive producer and Honorary Academy Award® winner Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X) and writers/directors/producers Rusty Cundieff (Chappelle's Show, The Wanda Sykes Show) and Darin Scott (Menace II Society, Caught Up) for an all-new gripping, horrifying and oftentimes devilishly comical anthology. Keith David stars as Mr. Simms to tell bloodcurdling stories about lust, greed, pride and politics through tales with demonic dolls, possessed psychics, vengeful vixens and historical ghosts. Mr. Simms's haunting stories will make you laugh…while you scream.

Horror meets the hood in Rusty Cundieff and Darin Scott's politically charged horror-comedy anthology series in which stories of abuse, corruption and racism towards the African-American community are given the horror film treatment.
