The 2nd one was okay. Not great but not terrible. The preacher character was suitably creepy and there's some H.R. Giger designs but they're wasted. Never saw the 3rd one.

I used to love Poltergeist 2 when i was young. Cain, the preacher was called. He had a creepy way of singing "God is in the holy tem-ple". It seemed quite a strange movie now i think about it. Ill have to see it again to see if it holds up at all.

Interesting article about what could have been, an unmade sequel that would have focused on Reverend Kane (who is the best part of the sequels that were made).

Thankfully, it died with Beck. The decision to bring back a "lookalike" for part III was a huge mistake. That makeup job is atrocious.

Nice, this was the first horror film I ever saw back in 1983. Hoping it has some extras, can't believe that 2 and 3 have special editions and this has sod all. 40 years later I think they can finally dish the dirt.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

No dirt will come out until Spielberg is dead.

I know we're all thinking it, so I'll just say it: that artwork is unacceptable. Absolutely some of the worst I've seen in recent memory. To think that it was actually approved, printed up and released is baffling to me.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

I guess someone at Warners likes it. If their budget was tight they could just have used the original artwork, but someone actually took three minutes to knock this one out. The Lost Boys art is fridge magnet worthy too. They're punishing us for not streaming.
