Cool news, but it would be far better if we had any sniff of a US release of Martin and Dawn. (I give up on asking for North American releases, since it's getting to be a total joke to get anything actually distributed in Canada.)

Second Sight has confirmed on Facebook that they've licensed the this and, the previously hinted at, Dawn of the Dead
We're incredibly excited to officially announce our acquisition of George A Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD and MARTIN for UK Blu-ray and VOD following a licensing deal with New Amsterdam Entertainment. We will be releasing later this year and have a lot planned. More details to follow in coming weeks, keep watching this space...

Diabolik has the Japanese Blu in stock. The description lists a bonus 4X3 version in SD. Crazy expensive, though: $54.99!

If you can live with the 16:9 framing, this is a nice disc. PQ-wise It looks better than both the Anchor Bay and Lionsgate disc with better resolved grain. Not bad for an old scan of a film that was shot in 16mm. It will do for now until we get a new version (if we ever do).
The standard version comes in a sturdy case with a booklet, four postcards and a mini reproduction of the UK theatrical poster.Last edited by agent999; 12-27-2018, 09:07 AM.

Does anyone know if there was a problem with the first batch of Arrow's Immortal Edition?
I'm wondering why I have an extra sealed copy.

Fuckwit that I am, I've pre ordered the standard version from Japan, but who knows when it will turn up with Christmas slowing things up. My New Years resolution is to stop making stupid blind Blu Ray purchases...

Someone on blu-ray.com has posted that Martin is being released in Japan:

It's the 1.85 version though. The fact that it will cost almost £60 to get to the UK makes this an easy one to pass on.
