Divoff looks so much like Julian Assange in Faust. It does have its moments but by and large its a mess. And you know your in trouble when the trailer proudly boasts "Featuring the music of Machine Head and Coal Chamber!"

Lisi Tribble, Ken Russell's widow posted something on FB the other day about a commentary track for Gothic which was a Vestron title back in the day so take that for what its worth.

Robots who have been programmed to teach and discipline students in a violence-prone school turn homicidal, and the students must fight back to save their lives.

          PRODUCT DETAIL
The time is the future, and youth gang violence is so high that the areas around some schools have become “free fire zones” into which not even the police will venture. When Miles Langford (Malcolm McDowell), the principal of Kennedy High School, decides to take his school back from the gangs, robotics specialist Dr. Robert Forrest (Stacy Keach) provides “tactical education units.” These human-like androids have been programmed to teach and are supplied with weapons to handle discipline problems. These kids will get a lesson in staying alive!

1816. A sprawling villa in Switzerland is the setting for the night of the “Haunted Summer,” when five famous friends gather around an ancient skull to conjure up their darkest fears. Poets Lord Byron and Percy Shelley; Shelley's fiancée, Mary Godwin; Mary's stepsister, Claire Clairmont; and Byron's friend, Dr. John Polidori, spend a hallucinogenic evening confronting their fears in an orgiastic frenzy of shock lunacy that later inspired Mary Shelley to write the classic FRANKENSTEIN and Dr. Polidori to pen THE VAMPYRE, which became the basis for the creation of Dracula. One fateful evening, two legends were born, in Ken Russell's GOTHIC.

Brilliant news on Gothic. Dolby's score is slamming so those isolated tracks should sound great. Looking forward to Lisi's commentary too, should be fascinating.

Fuckin' stoked for Class of 1999!!! Haven't been that excited about one of their titles since they first made their presence known, and announced Blood Diner.

Michael Felsher of Red Shirt commented on FB that the version of Class Of 1999 coming to Blu-ray is indeed the full uncut version and that the transfer is a new one taken from the inter-negative (apparently the packaging has an R rating on the back, which is in error).

Class of 1999 is one Vestron title I've actually wanted. I just watched the dvd last week, 4:3 picture, compression issues, crap. A Blu-ray is most welcome, Plus uncut. This is a film I would rent on VHS over and over again back in the day. Anyone else a fan of this film or is my judgement clouded by nostalgia too much.

Glad to see this line poopin' along, but so far not impressed at all. I have purchased one title: CHOPPING MALL. Vestron was a great VHS label, unless you count picture quality. Whoever is running this effort is clearly obsessed with the LATE 80s, which was a shit era. Everything was over by then, and the handful of good titles from then have already been mined by other companies. Put out EYES OF FIRE and let's get on with this.

So according to a post here, where a lot of impatient people puzzlingly assumed the line was dead, the line is not dead as per Michael Felsher, who noted that there are 3 titles being worked on and a 4th in the works.

Full credit to Dawn Of The Discs for this info:

"In a recent Facebook Live video from Michael Felsher's (Red Shirt Pictures) personal account, Michael states that "are we getting close to a Vestron announcement? Yes, we are close to it! I know it's been a year since the last one came out and a lot of people have been like, 'is this line dead? What's going on?' It's just that Lions Gate's had an extremely busy year, and it's hard to fit these things in. But I'm in the process of doing the final things, edits, on the next two releases. So yes, an announcement will be coming... soon. I can't tell you when, but I promise: something's coming soon”"
