I'm not surprised. That one got a lot of attention from being featured on Red Letter Media a few months ago.

I wish all of their releases weren't so predictable. They're just releasing all the titles that we expected. A few surprises would be nice.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

So Mike Felsher confirmed on FB that there won't be an August or Sept. title in the line due to masters not being ready but there will be new releases again starting in Oct.

              S.T. Joshi posted
...I have done similar interviews for later Blu-ray releases of Stuart Gordon's Dagon and Beyond Re-Animator.
So those are likely going to be two of Vestron titles for next year.

There's only two things worse than AIDS... Dagon, and Beyond Re-Animator.

Yeah, having seen Faust: Love of the Dead, I have NO interest in seeing anything more by Brian Yuzna.

I actually really like Dagon, even got to see it theatrically with Gordon in attendance back in PDX years ago. Haven't seen it in at least a decade, will be interesting to see if it holds up for me. I remember thinking Beyond Re-Animator had some fun moments but that, yeah, it was fairly weak.

Dagon, some dodgy CGI aside, is a pretty good movie. I've never been compelled to watch Beyond Re-Animator

Add me to list of people that enjoyed Dagon. Owned Beyond Reanimator for awhile now, but never watched it.

Either way, it's no masterpiece. They couldn't do a proper adaptation of that comic without going full on XXX and if you do that, obviously your financing options disappear very quickly.

                              I stand corrected.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure I have seen pornos that had a higher budget than Faust. Better acting and FX too...

Andrew Divoff is kind of fun as M and some of the gore is solid, but yeah, it has problems. Stuart Gordon was at one point attached but if I remember correctly backed off because he didn't feel that the movie could actually be made as a decent adaptation of such an explicit source.
