Stripped of King's characterisation, scope and history, I thought this was just a seemingly never ending succession of cheap scare scenes which mostly fell flat. It just felt watered down to me. When I saw the poster for Nightmare on Elm Street 5 it reminded me of the level of mediocrity that many mainstream 80s horror movies settled into and I realised it wasn't much better despite its slickness and budget.I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.
