I can't recall the specifics right now, but there was a case where the extended cut of something had a scene with a song that they couldn't license for the theatrical release, but they got a limited license when they did the DVD, but like I said, that was a one-off situation.

    Fuck Arrow.

My biggest beef with Arrow limited editions is the whole practice of making alternate cuts, like the Ulysses cut of Waterworld or the TV edit of RoboCop exclusive to their insanely expensive limited edition sets. Unless it's a rights thing, like only being allowed to do so many copies of an alternate cut due to music rights issues or other crap, it's just being dicks to say "1200 people can get this other version that people have wanted to see released for years, everyone else can go fuck themselves!"

That's exactly the kind of crap I would have expected in Germany. Glad I imported their no frills edition.

Hope to Christ this sells poorly, I don't want them getting ideas. Their limited releases are getting expensive enough as it is.

Yeah, I can get down with a UHD, already. I don't need to buy it on blu again.

If it's getting the UHD treatment in Germany and France I'm hoping that Arrow or Universal themselves do a standard UHD without the frills.
