  • House On Sorority Row

Given that the Scorpion Blu-ray is, I believe, now out of print it might interest some to know that the film is betting a Blu-ray release from Shock in Australia.

No word on extras and it looks like it will be Region B encoded.

        Source.

"It's always graduation time somewhere and Ronin Flix is celebrating with a new exclusive Limited Edition re-issue of the classic 80's horror slasher The House on Sorority Row from Scorpion Releasing.

This killer Blu-ray will included reversible artwork with a custom cover from artist The Glitchway and new creative on the back, a new 2k scan of the original negative done EXCLUSIVELY for this release with over 45 hours of color correction (you can check out some screen comparisons on Facebook @scorpionreleasinginfo), new 5.1 surround mix from the original 3 track negative, an isolated music track and new SHD subtitles for the hearing impaired. Oh, and for those of you who may have gotten your hands on a copy of the previous release, don't worry, all of the original extras will be included as well.

No promises, but we hear we are getting 1,500 copies of this bad boy in March 2018, so get ready to party with the girls of Theta Pi.

The House on Sorority Row is Coming Soon to Ronin Flix and is currently listed as 'Sold Out' because it has not yet been made available for sale. For more information on our upcoming releases and promotions, please join the Ronin Flix mailing list or follow us on Facebook @theroninflix."

This is one I'm not sure I've seen but then there's a good chance I rented it on vhs & just do not remember it at all. I went ahead & ordered it; I used the code for the free magnet!

Bah, I didn't know you had to enter a code for the free magnet.

Shoot them an email, maybe they'll throw one in. I think I only knew b/c I read it on the blu-ray forum. Seems like they should throw it in for every order until sold out of them.

I've read that they are already gone. It isn't a big deal, but next time I'll make sure and get the code before buying.

I received my copy today with the magnet, which, is so thin, I thought it was a sticker. I just put it inside the case.

It's weird that some people think order #'s should be the same as the number on the slipcase. I have an ungodly amount of hand-numbered records & never once have I thought everything should be shipped out in order...

I watched the film last night & figured I'd remember it but no, never, ever seen it before. It was pretty okay. Would have been nice if it were a little gorier & the music wasn't thriller-chase kind of music. The ending seemed a little lazy. Not sure I'll watch it again anytime soon but it was nice to see plus the transfer looks good (haven't seen the previous releases so I can't compare).

Ronin Flix has said that they are down to the last few hundred copies. But, unless I'm mistaken, a regular edition is coming out later in the year.
