It was also confusing how Lord Elrond left Middle Earth and became the Red Skull, why Captain America suddenly wanted to beat up the Sundance Kid and how Shaft wound up becoming the head of SHIELD. ...Actually, no; that last one made perfect sense.

I would also add that I can see how Frodo would grow up to become the killer in MANIAC too!!

I am waiting on the porn takeoff.
Plastic Man elongates his junk to major tentacle porn proportions, The Thing gets soft when aroused as he is already rock hard, Torch has a tendency to get too excited & flame broil his love conquests from the inside, while the frustrated Invisible Chick gets it on only to uncontrollably turn invisible, which completely freaks out her partners but lends itself to really cool looking internal pop shots. :woot:

Anyone brave enough to watch this???
Reviews have been mediocre at best...
Seems like Trank (who was pulled off this AND a proposed Star Wars stand alone movie) is saying nothing to do with him....
Director Josh Trank suggested on Thursday that he wasn't responsible for the final cut of “Fantastic Four,†which has been widely panned by critics prior to its Friday release.
“A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would've received great reviews,†he wrote of the 20th Century Fox and Marvel pic. “You'll probably never see it. That's reality though.â€
The tweet was quickly deleted from his account.

Here is a run down of everything that was in the trailer that was either missing from the film..or changed.
Interesting to read..and more ammo to show that, even though Tranks version might have been bad...it AT LEAST had more action...and made more sense.

This is not that terrible. For the first hour and a quarter or so it feels kind of like a solid 80s kids adventure film. Young, overly ambitious sorts doing experiments and ripping holes in the fabric of space time. Okay, one of them is named Victor Von Doom which kind of ruins the suspense of where our bad guy is coming from but I guess that's comic books for you. The problem is that by the time that sections finished there's still not much sign of a plot and it's only got half an hour to go. The last half hour then tries to jam everything in real fast, throws a lot of bad cgi at the problem and then whimpers off into a corner. It's strange... you'd think if the studio was going to hack it to bits they'd remove the sections from the early building stuff bits.
It reminds me a bit of that 80s kids film... I can't remember what it was called... it was about a bunch of kids who spent the first hour of the film building a spaceship and it was pretty great. Then they find some aliens and you're on the edge of your seat wondering where it's going from here. And then they wind up watching looney toons cartoons with the aliens and everyone leaves the cinema feeling ripped off. it's definitely kind of like that."Never let the fact that they are doing it wrong stop you from doing it right." Hyman Mandell.
