It's Your Move was one of my favourite shows. The 2 parter with The Dregs of Humanity was amazing. I think.

While I have not kept up with Bateman's output, I was a huge fan of his in 80s, particularly his short-lived sitcom IT'S YOUR MOVE, which was sort of a precursor to MARRIED WITH CHILDREN (made by the same guys.) He seemed very sly, and his later stuff has done nothing to change my opinion. I remember the trailer for this when it was new and it looked good.

I saw this last week and I agree with you, not perfect but still pretty funny and well worth a watch.

My Bateman experience is limited but I thought Horrible Bosses was fucking funny and he was good in it too.

I am not even a fan of Jason Bateman, though I do love Arrested Development but feel he is not as good in most other things he appears in.

And the premise felt a bit lame to be quite honest. But.... there was something really funny about watching JB being a total asshole towards kids, and mindfuck them into failure at the spelling contest. Like JB answering an overenthusiastic boy that Autofellatio is his favourite word, etc.

This strange low budget indie flick made me laugh harder then the last 20 or so Hollywood stoner comedies. It wasn't perfect or anything, but it proves that comedy can still be funny. So if you come across it, give it a chance. You might like it.
I will e watchign it now you gave it your hearfelt approval.....I too am tired of watchign so called "comedies"....and not laughing once.

Had a few good ones recently..but I am sceptical of Jason Bateman and his ability to be funny...He was good in HANCOCK...because he was the straight man....Probably due to some psychological damage he inflicted when a young, eager movie watcher back in the 1980's rented his TEEN WOLF TOO....
