Thanks, everybody - that gave me plenty of stuff to consider for them.

Yeah, the basic LG models are pretty easy to use. Depending on the quality of their eyesight the LG remotes are small though, so that could be an issue - but then, you could get a larger universal remote to get around that.

You can find them cheap at pawn shops. I bought a like new LG smart bluray player for $20 at a local pawn shop.

Can't go wrong with any of the samsung wifi models out there, Nolando. From what I hear, anyway. I don't have one, but that'll likely be the next one i buy for the basement . That being said, if they don't need fancy, i think that the remotes for the Sony players are not too difficult for seniors to use, as in they're not really tiny with miniscule buttons.

Blu-ray player recommendations for the elderly?

My folks are getting onto the BD train, finally. They're also in their 70s and act like it - meaning, they don't need anything to advanced, just easy to use. If it has built-in wi-fi that would be optimal. They're asking me for recommendations and I'm a bit swamped with the choices out there in the roughly-$100 range. Any of you all have any suggestions?
