I think SHIA is confused...surely he is talking about PUBLIC DOMAIN titles......or maybe even folk tales back when there WAS no physical media to film / record the stories on....
But I think he is talkign about when he and his grandma used to sit around the fire and tell stories...coz as far as I remember he is not old enough to have experience anything else...
COINCIDENTAL SIDETRACK: just flipped on the TV and CONSTANTINE is playing....and the douches face is right there in front of me!!...I wonder if the makers of THAT movie had to get permission from the author Garth Ennis, or they just went ahead anyway, citing the same reasons.....Sure they didnt!Comment

A couple years back he set up a table at the Chicago Comic Con in the artists alley (of all places) and was selling a mini-comic he did. I remember at the time he seemed genuine about the whole thing saying that he was inspired by the comic medium how it can be the voice of just one artist, unlike movies which are these huge productions with many people involved. I wasn't there but the Tribune showed pictures of him there with his girlfriend and a long line waiting to see him. He was basically unannounced. Just showed up and started selling his shitty comics. At the time I thought, good for him, obviously he was tired of Hollywood and wanted to do something more personal. Just not personal from him."When I die, I hope to go to Accra"Comment

LaBeouf's “artistic†troubles began in December when it was revealed that he had plagiarized his short-film, “HowardCantour.com,†from 2007 comic “Justin M. Damiano†by “Ghost World†creator Daniel Clowes.
The former Disney star admitted he “f-ked up†in an apology and said he hoped to work out a deal with Clowes for proper accreditation, but he became the subject of even more scrutiny when someone realized a portion of his apology may have been lifted from a post on Yahoo! Answers.
Since then, LaBeouf has been regularly tweeting plagiarized apologies, and then got a little creative when he apologized to Clowes through letters in the sky.
Most recently, the 27-year-old — who will next be seen in Lars von Trier's sex addiction drama “Nymphomaniac†— posted a cease-and-desist letter from Clowes' attorney on Twitter.
“Brian, your client is seriously out of control,†the letter addressed to LaBeouf's lawyer, Brian Wolf, read. “He must stop his improper and outlandish directed at Mr. Clowes, and your client must take all necessary and appropriate steps to redress his wrongs.â€
Maybe his retirement from public life is the first step.
