Finally tracked down THE STRANGER (not an Albert Pyun film). I certainly appreciate the Spaghetti Western feel this low budget action flick tries to invoke. Kathy Long is the mysterious stranger that comes to small (maybe a dozen people) desert town to exact revenge on a (biker) gang that killed her parents when she was a child. The score even sounds Morricone-esque at times. My favorite track sounds an awful lot like MAN WITH A HARMONICA. But the reason to watch is Kathy Long. Not only is she easy on the eyes but she is a force to be reckoned with. She has zero charisma but makes up for it by being a female version of THE TERMINATOR. Fans of "girls that kick ass" films will get exactly what they are looking for in THE STRANGER as Kathy's fights are amazing. Few women have come close to matching the intensity and believability of what she puts onscreen. There is a lull in the middle 3rd of the film but its well worth seeing through til the credits. In a bit of a surprise, Kathy gets naked in this as well. It's a shame she didn't get more low budget leading roles or as heavy in bigger pictures. She would have been great with a limited speaking role in a Van Damme or Lundgren flick.

Kathy(The Terminator)Long was THE best womans fighter ever in her prime! Look at some of her fights on you tube! She is a TRUE badass! She is a trainer at the Muey Tai Center on Pico Blvd in Los Angeles. Check her out also in Under The Gun! I have a LD of both Under The Gun and Knights. The Stranger is great also. Kinda like High Planes Drifter in a way. Andrew Divoff is excellent as the bad guy as usual. And Ginger Lynn actually does some decent acting.

I picked up the VHS of Pyun's KNIGHTS starring Kris Kristofferson and Lance Henriksen. Its right up there with NEMESIS as one of Pyun's best. Its no surprise that Henriksen makes for a good villain and Kristofferson is pretty good as the lead's (Kathy Long) mentor. If you like women that kick ass then KNIGHTS is worth checking out. Kathy Long is a beautiful badass that looks natural and confident as she throws down. Add to that, most of the fight choreography is some the best I've seen in a Pyun film. It's a shame she didn't get more starring roles in b-grade actioners.
I'll be tracking down a copy of 1995's THE STRANGER for more Kathy Long.

I never seen KNOCKOFFS tho', I think that came after DOUBLE TEAM so not sure if it counts.

I have not no, but I have been pondering it for quite some time. I am a Pyun fetishist after all. (To be quite honest, he is more of a fetisch then anything, as he is not always very good). Though I see now that it is only 12.97 euros from amazon.de....
fuck it. I am ordering it. It is a very reasonable price I must say. And I ordered moving target with Michael Dudikoff as well. Blu's for 12.97 is a bargain!

Did anyone else buy the German director's cut of CYBORG? I received mine last week.

Looks like Germany loves Pyun...And Van Damme of course!!
Very surprised they aren't just trying to pass it off as a new movie (they could have left out the explanation under the title and probably sold a few more copies!!)
