It scares me to see people dying in their 60s. My parents just turned 60.

Can we retitle this "And now the bad news: RIP..." so that anytime someone dies they can be added to this one thread?

          Ominous.

Cancer's a bitch! We lost my mum to cancer on my wife's birthday in 2009. Even though there's more ways to treat it than ever before, it's really the disease of the modern age.

PS: Pete was a total shock to me. I had no idea he had soldiered on for so long, or that he was even sick. There goes a damn fine actor... :(

He didn't look good in The Town but that didn't stop him from delivering a punchy menace of a role.

Liked him in just about everything I saw him in; my fave role of his was in Brassed Off, I'd say.
It's not going to suck itself...

I like Alison's idea of a "recently deceased" sticky. It'd sure save a lot of hassle!

Which reminds me, no-one told me that Peter Yates, director of Bullitt, died!

81 is a pretty good wicket, but it was still a shame to read this. :(
