    • Scooby Doo (2002) -- I was never a fan of the cartoon, but the live-action movie was just as much fun as I remember it. What I didn't remember was that obviously the producers decided to exploit their female cast to the Dads in the audience as every one of them, even Velma, gets a v-neck top/push-up bra or bikini top scene. Very funny. Hated all the hip-hop/rap on the soundtrack though. But the Aussie locations look flash, as does Isla Fisher in a blonde wig. Must upgrade this to Blu sometime... ;)

      • The Afterman (1985): One of those films where you don't quite know if it's an Exploitation film or an Art Film. You could play that kind of game with your friends. I liked it though and would recommend it if you're looking for something different.

        • Fata Morgana: I don't like the film at all except for a few choice shots. My 2nd time watching this too. But I recommend it for the commentary. I could listen to Herzog talk about anything.

          • Layer Cake - my parents have been visiting and they wanted to watch it. It's not bad. I'd seen it before but forgot more about it than I remembered.

            • Last night... Elvira's Haunted Hills. I hadn't seen this one before (or if I did I forgot about it, which is just as likely) and it turns out to be a pretty fun take on the Hammer/AIP-Corman-Poe stuff. I had a good time with it. Cool to see Richard O'Brien in it too.

              • That's on the table at home. When we watched MISTRESS OF THE DARK, my kid was like Sir Edmund Hillary seeing the twin peaks of Mt. Everest for the very first time.

                • HOW TASTY WAS MY LITTLE FRENCHMAN is a great great cannibal movie. Sixteenth century French mercenary captured by Brazilians goes native. Tastes like Herzog at times, in that it shoots documentary-close to the experience, but with that laughing serious eye behind it. Really a fine movie, very enjoyable, plus it's so smart it keeps you thinking after all the fun. I'll be picking my teeth for a while.

Oh, yeah, and everybody's naked. There's a lot of sunburnt everything.

                      • More Brains! A Return To The Living Dead - this is almost as good as the NOES documentary series. A very comprehensive and interesting look at the making of ROTLD that's as amusing and entertaining as it is thorough.

                        • The Alien Saga

An ok documentary about the 4 movies in teh Alien series. Most of the stories told I had heard before.

                          Decline of western Civilization 3

After wanting to see it for 10 years I finally saw it. And it was pretty good. Not as good as the first 2 but still worth watching. Does anyone know why this has never been released?

                          • Last night...

The Presence - Mira Sorvino is in a house with a ghost that is in love with her. Mira's boyfriend shows up, proposes, ghost gets sad. Bad ghost shows up later and tries to convince sad ghost to be evil and get rid of the boyfriend. This makes Mira sad. Goofy but it held my attention.

Phase 7 - started off as a complete rip off of [REC] but eventually found its footing and turned out to be a pretty interesting albeit very low budget take on the whole contamination thing. The performances made this one.

Grindhouse Hotties: Tina Russell - a collection of loops featuring Tina Russell. Lots of fucking, some sucking too. Marc Stevens show up a lot and hey look, Vanessa Del Rio.

                            • Girls Without Men - this was basically a Six Swedes movie, they even stole the whole 'teacher demonstrates sex ed in front of the close' scene. It should have been called Girls With Men Who Also Are Lesbians though, because there was just as much hetero action in it as lesbian action. Also, the baker with the yellow shirt is completely gross looking but somehow manages to bone a bunch of the hot chicks in the movie. It's probably because he has a yellow shirt, white pants and an ascot.

Rolls Royce Baby - in a bizarre stroke of coincidence, this movie takes place in the EXACT SAME HOUSE as Girls Without Men and, like that movie, features Eric Falk. He's barely in GWM but here he does naked kickboxing and drives Lina Romay around while she shows off her shaved box to random people she picks up at the side of the road. This movie also features the SAME COUCH that's in GWM and in Confessions Of The Sex Slaves and the guy who had the yellow shirt in GWM shows up in this movie too.

Erwin C. Deitrich recycled a lot of stuff. Once you start watching all this shit it's amazing how much mileage he got out of stuff.
