On a film noir blitz recently. Watching as many as I can get my hands on (recommendations welcome!). Top ones so far: "Criss Cross"well shot heist movie with a story that's not entirely in chronological order. "Scarlett Street". Edward G Robinson is great in this sordid tale of a little man who gets used and abused by a younger, amoral couple. "Murder My Sweet" one of the best Chandler adaptions going. "Detour" I must have rented this film half a dozen times over the years and never got round to watching it. Big mistake. It's a great little movie.

Last night? Six Swedes In The Alps, no subtitles. So far as we could tell, six Swedish girls (who are not the same girls from the 1st two films) go into the alps where they have sex with each other and some dudes. A big dog walks around with a message on his neck and invites people to an orgy and Erik Falk falls in a pond while a guy plays one of those weird giant horns from the Riccola commercials while a cow licks his foot. Also features naked flag twirling, naked cheese rolling and naked jogging.Rock! Shock! Pop!Comment

Hobo with a Shotgun (2011) -- complete and utter tripe. Like Troma with a budget, and minus the self-deprecating humour or irony.
The Omega Man (1971) -- never seen before, so a HD first. Quite good, but maybe I was expecting more of it against its rep.
Wrong Turn 3 (2009) -- another amusing addition to what's become a DTV series. Never once fooled me they were anywhere but Bulgaria. Some hilarious gore.Comment

Sex Pistols - The Filth And The Fury - this was pretty good, really well edited with a good sense of humor behind it and pretty informative too. Some great clips I hadn't seen before. Temple should make more music documentaries.Rock! Shock! Pop!Comment

Dungeon Master. 80s crapfest that has W.A.S.P. in it performing their shit- I mean HIT single "Tormentor". PG-13 with full frontal nudity?? Cool beans. I saw this back in the day and don't recall seeing bush. How can that be forgotten?Comment

House Of Fallen - something to do with fallen angels causing trouble and getting hunted down, it was dumb. Could. Not. Get. Into. This.
Exotic Malice - A retitled Orgasmo Nero finds Mark Shannon and his warty balls in trouble with prostate cancer. Pending castration he goes to an island and gets a few blowjobs and drinks some J&B. His wife is not happy, but he's gone to find the woman he loves - unfortunately, that woman is more into giving black guys blowjobs than rekindling her relationship with Mr. Warty Balls. George Eastman owns a sexy disco.
