    • CROCODILE - Dir. Kim Ki Duk (1996)

KKD's low budget debut & still one of my favorite films from his oeuvre. I actually prefer this film to his much ballyhooed Pieta by a large margin.

I hope Redemption have this slated for BD sometime soon - one of my favourites.

            • Paris by Night AKA Une Nuit. Not a porno as one might think, but sort of a french training day. About a cop and his new driver in the clublife of Paris by night. Quite enjoyed it.

              • Werewolves On Wheels -Hairy howlers humping their hogs against hellish heathens in a heaving holocaust of horseshit! Actually I like this movie even though it is pretty much a lost cause for anybody else.

No it's not. I like it a lot. So does John Gargo.

                    • Olympus has fallen I liked it. Very B-Movie style, and r-rated violence. However tacky CGI and dark photography makes it feel incredibly cheap. How can a $70 million movie feel cheap?

                      • RED TO KILL (Yeuk saat) - Dir. Billy Tang (1994)

Finally got around to watching this controversial CAT III shocker. Ben Ng certainly takes his place among the most vile movie villains in the history of cinema. Pretty depressing overall & the pivotal rape scene is quite disturbing. I would consider it even more disturbing than IRREVERSIBLE since the victim is mentally disabled and due to the subsequent genital mutilation that occurs as the victim washes herself. I'm not a huge fan of Billy Tang but he certainly does CAT III like few others judging by the other films I've seen from him e.g. Dr. Lamb & Run to Kill.

                        • The Baytown Outlaws. Amusing enough in a watered down Smidge of Sons of Anarchy or smell of Tarantino tribute sort of way. Probably won't intentionally revisit, though.

Crime of Passion (1957), with Barbara Stanwyck, Sterling Hayden, Raymond Burr, Fay Wray, and Royal Dano.

                          • Death Walks At Midnight (1972)

Black Moon (1975). First time seeing this one, and I liked it a lot. Like a cross between Rollin and Bunuel, with a little bit of Lewis Carroll thrown in. Strange, dreamy, and sometimes disturbing, it's another interesting work from Louis Malle.
