I'm sure Gunn chose to include Guy Gardner because he can't resist giving us at least one hubristic doofus per movie. Better to project that onto the Lantern than give us a Superman along the lines of what he did with Adam Warlock, I guess.

That said, I'm with Ian: including Krypto gives me optimism.

Man, they're going to sell a hell of a lot of toy super-dogs. Interesting tone on this. I expected Gunn to curb his natural instincts for Superman but looks like this is in line with his Giardians movies.
