Good call on BOARDINGHOUSE and CALAMITY OF SNAKES.
Because it's too mainstream. What's next captain mainstream? Going to dig through your Cadillac and offer up such unknown films like Plan Nine and Troll 2? I bet you do!
When my wife and I watched BEST WORST MOVIE she asked if I'd seen TROLL 2 and if it was as bad as they made it out to be. I told her that I had seen it but that by the time I had gotten around to doing so (sometime around 2007 maybe) I had seen so many "bad" films that it didn't really register with me. I would imagine this is the story for most of us on this board but my interest in and love of trash goes back to my childhood. Not to get all Adam A. here, but the shit got in my blood! (anyone seen my skeleton gloves?)
Seeing the (young) people in that doc become so giddy talking about TROLL 2 reminded me of being in high school and watching stuff like BRUCE LEE FIGHTS BACK FROM THE GRAVE and DR. JEKYLL'S DUNGEON OF DEATH with my nerd crew - we'd quote those movies and laugh at how poorly they were produced. Unlike my friends though I kept watching more and more, circling entries in Psychotronic and spending half my weekends driving to out of the way video stores searching for shit like BLOOD FREAK and THE BLACK GESTAPO. I probably could have used that time better but that was pretty fulfilling there for a while.
That dragon has been thoroughly chased over the last 30+ years so it's hard to get worked up over TROLL 2 and the like but I can appreciate the kids' enthusiasm for it.

Well said. I'm with you on this. I see why it is regarded the way that it is and the fact that it's an MGM title and not some ultra low budget indy title probably bumps it up higher in a lot of ways simply because it's always been fairly easy to get a hold of as opposed to some of the more obscure movies that make it onto lists like this.
Any list that has NINJA THE FINAL DUEL and MIAMI CONNECTION is gonna get my attention.
Sex & Fury (1973)
Hanzo the Razor: The Snare (1973)
Executioner (1974)
Alice in Wonderland: An Adult Musical Fantasy (1976)
Ninja: The Final Duel (1986)
The Candy Tangerine Man (1975)
Humanoids from the Deep (1980)
Equilibrium (2002)
A Boy and His Dog (1975)
Black Oak Conspiracy (1977)
Miami Connection (1987)
Stone Cold (1991)
A Fistful of Dollars (1964)
