More like the original Castlevania on the NES. But most of the NES platform game look-a-like...

Michael must fight snakes (we see one of them in the movie...), flying skull, jumping green goblins.
Michael must collect diamonds and Mario Bros coins
Michael do air combat
Even the kissing couple is there

and Torgo looks like a leprechaun...

and the ape from Robot Monster make a guest appearances
