There were some very kid friendly comic books from Marvel for a while too. Robocop always worked best in an R rated environment.

ROBOCOP should NEVER have been "kidded down"!!!...He was always R-rated..and always meant to be....

The kids have IRON MAN as their man/robot hybrid...leave ours alone!!!

That shot looks a LITTLE better.....

It MIGHT not look too bad once they get the lighting / cinematography guys to set up the shots right for the movie....and how he moves in it wil also be a big factor..WELLER did the movements spot on in the original...
