It's probably safe to assume that the North By Northwest and Psycho discs will be the same as the ones already released.

No word on if these movies will be available on their own or not, for now it's boxed set only but I'd expect that will change.

So there's a whole lot of activity around this set happening at the HTF - check the thread here.

Apparantly it's riddled with problems and is now being pushed back, new release date TBD.

        And from Universal's press release:

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NEW DATE FOR THIS COLLECTION IS OCTOBER 30TH.

So hopefully they're fixing the mistakes and doing it right. I don't mind waiting another few weeks if they do it right.

I suspect this is just a reissue set with different packaging, but hey, it's news.

"Universally recognized as the Master of Suspense, the legendary Alfred Hitchcock directed some of cinema's most thrilling and unforgettable classics. The House of Hitchcock features 15 iconic films from the acclaimed director's illustrious career including Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, Vertigo and North by Northwest, plus a range of limited edition extras including blueprints of the infamous Psycho house, movie poster art cards for all the films, and a booklet about his work."

          Coming 10/1/19.

I'm hoping the new set will significantly drive down the price of the old one. Even though the packaging is cool, I already scratched that itch by picking up the incredible Turbine Psycho collection last year.

I'm grabbing select titles that I really want to see in 4K. Got Rear Window the other day and will definitely be on Shadow of a Doubt.

I am happy that these titles do not require double-dipping.

I'm not worried about 4K anyhoo, but i am slightly curious if they will fix the day for night filters in THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY.
