Yeah, Twilight Time does fine work. I've bought a few. They're pricey or I'd buy more.

I called up and bought NOTLD90 after being reassured they wouldn't charge me until about October 5 when it ships.

The 1990 doesn't have the impact of the original -- nothing does -- but of all the remakes, imitations and spin-offs it's the only version that stands on it's own (apart from Romero's efforts, that is). I like how the story veers into a new direction in the third act. The changes make sense. Tom Savini should have been offered a directing career in genre movies after this because he does a first-rate job.

Agreed. I don't like it more than the original but on its own terms, it's a good movie.

Ditto. My 2 copies just went out. I decided to go full a-hole and buy an extra for some eBay fun.

Experiment In Terror is a pretty good film, the others Meh. I do like the Flint films but the dvds will do me just fine.

I still can't believe that the idiots at Sony are passing on releasing a Stephen King based/John Carpenter directed movie. I know Sony has been having money problems, maybe they should just sell their fucking back catalog to a company that would exploited it properly.

Anyway, someone on the blu-ray.com forums said that TT confirmed to him that they will be releasing THE BLOB (1988) next year.

That's some welcome news, thanks! There's one I didn't really expect to see get the TLC treatment. THE FURY and MAJOR DUNDEE are pretty swell too, was actually planning to rewatch the latter soon, I'll hold off now. And SONG OF BERNADETTE is a favorite of mine too, it made a big impression on me first time I saw it years ago.
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.
