Looks like ol' blue eyes would like those three gals to blow somethin', and it sure as hell ain't his horn.

I've got "Assault On A Queen" on my DVR right now (taped off TCM if I remember correctly). I haven't it had a chance to watch it yet, but it looks like a worthy, classic action/heist movie.

I had some time to watch whatever I wanted last night, so I went ahead and played the recording of "Assault On A Queen" that was on my DVR. With a Rod Serling screenplay based on a Jack Finney novel one would expect greatness, but I get the feeling the whole thing sounded better on paper than what played out on the screen. The plot involving a group of treasure hunters unearthing a German U-Boat, restoring it and using it to rob the Queen Mary on the high seas is as preposterous as it sounds. Adding to the problems are relatively flat acting and direction. On the other hand, Tony Franciosa plays it pretty cool, Virna Lisi looks like a million bucks, and you've got a submarine. Despite the film's overall mediocrity I would still recommend to fans of 60s cinema and classic heist movies.

Yes it should. I didn't realize it's also coming out on Blu-ray too. So you can get Frank Sinatra as a fake ass Roddy McDowell in high definition if you want.

The chick on the left kinda looks like Blanche from The Golden Girls.

I hope this has an improved transfer with a correct aspect ratio. Lots of interesting titles there...
