  • Roland Emmerich's Moonfall

"In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award® winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all - but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, “Midway”) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, “Game of Thrones”) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.

Directed by Roland Emmerich and written by Roland Emmerich, Harald Kloser, and Spenser Cohen.

MOONFALL - IN THEATERS AND IMAX FEBRUARY 4, 2022! Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Michael Peí±a, Charlie Plummer, Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor, Carolina Bartczak, and Donald Sutherland."

Sounds awful, but in a good way.

I knew as soon as I posted this that you'd probably be the only one who would respond, haha. Thank you for not letting me down!

Hey, don't sell me short! It looks like trashy fun. I liked John Bradley in GoT, so it's got that going for it.

It sounds awful, but in an awful way.

Good to see that all joint paedo party allegations against him and Byran Singer haven't harmed his career.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

So, I went and saw this. Better then I expected. Not a good good movie, but good in a bonkers way. Some crappy cgi at times, but most effects were nice. And enough of the tongue in cheek at times to keep me satisfied.

Not nearly Emmerichs better work, but still a fun b-movie made with a-movie money.

                  This was terrible.

Gotta love content made by the people streaming it.

"Take all of the tense bits from every space movie, throw millions at it for casting, and write the most inane dialogue."

It was made for theatrical release, but the studio lost confidence and sold it off to the streamers instead. Same situation as The Tomorrow War.
