LOS ANGELES, CA - [October 2, 2019] - Cinedigm Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM) has announced the acquisition of Cinetel Films and 7Heaven Productions' gritty action thriller ACCELERATION. Cinedigm will release the film in select theatres, on-demand and digital on November 8 and on Blu-ray and DVD in December 2019.

Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints), Dolph Lundgren (Creed II) and Chuck Liddell (Kick-Ass 2) star in the modern-day noir film alongside, Natalie Burn (The Expendables 3), Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson (The A-Team), and Danny Trejo (Machete). The film is written by Michael Merino and directed by Michael Merino & Daniel Zirilli.

ACCELERATION follows skilled getaway driver Rhona (Natalie Burn) across Los Angeles on her one-night quest to complete a list of five dangerous assignments to save her kidnapped son from her former boss, the ruthless crime lord Vladik (Dolph Lundgren). The tic-tok of the clock goes buy faster and faster as Rhona struggles to deal with the violent and depraved delinquents she must eliminate to save her son's life.

“Dolph Lungdren revs up the action and delivers a nonstop thrill ride in this pedal to the metal action movie,” said Yolanda Macias, Cinedigm's Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions. “So, buckle up as Cinedigm brings ACCELERATION to theatres this fall!”

ACCELERATION is produced by Natalie Burn and executive produced by Paul Hertzberg and Eric Brenner. The deal was negotiated by Josh Thomashow, Director of Acquisitions for Cinedigm and Paul Hertzber.

    Well that looked absolutely awful.

I'll probably buy this if it gets released on DVD here.

Hasse, fí¶r faaaaan! Ryck upp dig. Det hí¤r hí¥ller inte!!!

The best thing now for Dolph would probably be the CBS tv-pilot that's apparently happening soon.

Personally, I don't see that as a fair assessment. I think he's been in decent stuff lately. I think he just does too much. And, sadly, the lead roles offered to him are bleh. He was good in Creed 2 and, although I didn't see it, many people I know say he was the best part of Aquaman. I think he should takes these smaller, cooler roles. I feel like they say a lot more about him than this crappy straight to video stuff he's in with random UFC people.

That said, I am looking forward to the Dolph/Stallone television series. Hope it happens. Interested to see if he can pull off straight drama or if there will be a humorous angle to it. I realize he's limited in his acting ability so I hope this show does well.

He was cool in Aquaman. But not enough screen time unfortunately. Agreed on Creed 2. Only reason I even watched it was because of him. MBJ is about as interesting as a block of wood.

I guess it will be some sort of spy/action-y stuff. He is very limited, true. But the charisma is there and that goes a long way if properly steered. I'm just amazed a guy with such astronomically bad career luck is still going. He must be set for life at this point. If I were him I would have packed it up and go "You know what. I've had a fairly good run. Fuck this shit. Life's too short to be second banana in Denise Richards dtvs".

I would love it if he could pull out some Van Damme chops at this stage in his career.

From what I've read about his character in the series it's basically a character he's played dozens of times in movies of his. And they're dumb movies. Maybe with better writers, directors, fight coordinators, etc. (hopefully), he won't seem as cheesy.

Do we know when this series is filming or premiering?
