  • Heavenly Creatures on Blu-ray 9/12...

....in the UK. No word on region coding or if a US release is far behidn.

    No word on extras either.

Here's the distributor's page for the release though.

I think this is Jackson's best film, personally, and will pick it up as soon as I can assuming it's of good quality.

Yeah that's a great movie. And the real case is pretty interesting too. I'd love to see some news footage or interviews pertaining to it.

Good! I need to upgrade from laserdisc.

          And...it's the theatrical cut...

...but I'll probably still get it, as I've always liked the film (and it's funny to see Two & A Half Men's "Rose" as a teenage killer)

That's disappointing news. I might wait this one out a bit and see what happens stateside.

Hmmm. According to this review (the only one I've seen so far, which is odd considering what a big name Jackson is) it's the 95 minute cut and there's no lossless audio, but apparantly it looks great and has some okay supplements.

I just never liked this film. It's well shot and acted but it just feels like a Lifetime TV Movie with a budget.

So a domestic release is evidently scheduled for December according to this.

And look at that...the director's cut. See, sometimes it's worth the wait. ;)

Good stuff. That cover image wasn't there when I first posted it, obviously it's been updated. Hopefully they present it OAR too. Extras would be nice as well but I won't count on them.
