Would not surprise me if they end up UHD'ing all the Lynch titles they have (and Lost Highway when Universal loses the rights.)

Menace II Society was also a surprise. I figured even if the Citizen Kane rumors were true, it would be a one-off from Warner Brothers. Certainly opens the door for the possibility of UHD for other rumored WB titles (After Hours) and previously released WB titles (Barry Lyndon, The New World)

Back to The Piano, I wonder who it is licensed from.

          • Irongod2112 seems to be hinting that Criterion will be announcing a boxset of Hong Kong films as part of their November slate.

I'm certainly getting Dune! I love that movie and I don't care who knows it!

                • There was an article in the local paper today about the 40th anniversary of BLOW OUT and at the end the writer mentioned that Criterion is working on a deluxe edition of BODY DOUBLE.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

                  • Be nice if it were a UHD, but being Sony, I doubt it.

                    • November 21's UK releases:
                      Devi
                      Fantastic Mr. Fox
                      The Thin Red Line

Don't think there is any reason to get The Thin Red Line is you have the UK Fox release, but Fantastic Mr. Fox is worth the double dip, as it might be the best edition produced of any of Wes Anderson's films.

That may be the only Wes Anderson film where I don't want to beat all the characters to death for being arch over privileged pieces of shit.

No need to watch that a second time. A lot of people seemed to like it, but I thought it was more annoying than intense.

High five for that. Bunch of people yelling at each other with a Reznor-influenced bleep bloop soundtrack in the background.
