I Love it. Barbara Stanwyck and Walter Huston are absolutely nuts in it. Love all of Anthony Mann's westerns. Right up there with Budd Boetticher as my favorites.

Greg Ruth did an incredible graphic novel written by Ethan Hawke a couple years back called INDEH: The Story of the Apache Wars.

      • UK slate for April 2021 was a little late being announced, I suspect because there is some delays with the planned UK release of the WKW boxset (so it isn't part of the month's releases). Anyway, April 2021:
The Darjeeling Limited (the 3rd Fox title released in the UK, following The Grand Budapest Hotel & Kagemusha)
        Secrets & Lies
        Charulata

          • NIGHTMARE ALLEY, Hell yes! Can't wait for this one. Still pretty unsettling and grim. I haven't seen MERRILY WE GO TO HELL but it sounds interesting - one of the earlier studies of the impacts of alcoholism. And Sylvia Sidney is always terrific, she really shines in these sorts of roles (she marries March knowing he has a drinking problem).

            • Someone that seems to work for Crowe's company posts on the Blu-ray forums and he said that
PSS. This is Amy's preferred version of the film which means it has one slight change...the reframing of Mike Damone (Robert Romanus) during the pool house scene. This was the shot that initially got Fast Times an X rating by the MPAA...it's back in all its glory for this release.

                • It has the TV version as well, with all of the awkward overdubs like "fuzzy nerd".
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

                  • Fucking Fast Times comes out the day before my birthday. All over it.

                    • So the guy that works for Cameron Crowe posted at the Blu-ray forum again and said that this will not have the original mono because Universal can't find it. Missing sound effects will be reinstated.

On the plus side, the television cut is from a new HD scan of an IP.

                      • Criterion's Lee Kline and Ryan Hullings started a podcast late last year and during the 2nd episode Kline mentions Blast of Silence is getting a Blu-ray this year.
