Anyone seen this? Jon Bernthal and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Looks like it could be good. I know NCW was in Game of Thrones, right? That's his big claim to fame, but I mostly know him from Danish films where he's generally comedic so it'd be interesting to see him in this. And it seems Jon Bernthal is being Jon Bernthal which is never a bad thing. Might pick it up (if Ian doesn't say we already have it, haha).

Yeah, I saw it. It was pretty good. Not a masterpiece or anything, but a solid DTV-thriller. I would say it is in the top tier of DTV work. It kept me entertained throughout.

Good to know it showed up on my video-on-demand and I was wondering if it was worth the time.

I finally got around to watching this tonight and really liked it. Some excellent plotting which keeps the viewer on their toes, terse and pithy dialogue, and superb photography. The performances are strong throughout. I liked Ric Roman Waugh's FELON but this is a cut above that picture, imo.

Felon is a true DTV gem, but this is better, more of a real film.

Ric Roman Waugh is turning into a director I'm liking more and more, even if Angel has Fallen was quite ordinary. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt there, as I don't think he had much to say about that.

If you like FELON, Mark, you'll love SHOT CALLER. It treads similar ground but it's more polished and nuanced. It's superb.

It wasn't bad. Whole lot of gaping plot holes. But decent performances, and hey, jail riots. I dig jail riots.
