  • Spot the Coors!

For some reason lately, I've been noticing Coors showing up in movies. Probably because I've been watching a lot of 70s car chase movies. Let's note down movies where Coors appears, cans or bottles, and post screens if you've got them.

You've got the one in COBRA, too.

Do you want bar paraphernalia as well?

COBRA is the one that stands out for me, because i was young and impressionable when i saw it, and my dad drank Coors.

Also didn't E.T. throw back a cold can of Coors?

          I think he did.

My dad worked at Coors and was always quick to spot Coors cans in movies and TV shows.

Once thing you see quite often as well are gold cans that say Beer in the Coors font.

Coors is horrible. But named beer is so rarely ordered for in bar scenes in movies - such that, as a kid in a dry household, I assumed that when you got to 21 you got some special info packet or such that explained what all drinks cost. People in films seem to saddle up to a bar, order a beer, and then pay "something." I never understood that and thought it was all standarized by the government or something.

It should be. Keep the costs level and the brewers honest.

You had a don't drink and drive poster as a kid?

My dad got all that stuff for free. Our whole house was filled with Coors shit.

My dad worked for the bank when I was a kid. I remember I had a pretty heavy duty commemorative paperweight with the bank logo on it. That's not as good as ET.

I was excited when Coors got Elvira as their Halloween spokesperson. I think Salma Hayek did posters as well around the time of DESPERADO.
