A good reason to revive this old chestnut of a thread:

    https://shoparbelosfilms.com/product...e-mare-blu-ray

Limited edition of 1000 copies and they're going quick.

    Procrastinate at your peril.

It was #11 on my list. It's now firmly in my top ten.

I wish somebody would release the amazing 1994 German film FELIDAE on Blu.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

Matt, I watched Felidae back in the day and remember next to nothing about it -- except for the fact that I disliked it immensely. And I don't even remember why! I kinda remember that it was a somewhat jarring experience. It' gets pretty solid reviews so maybe a rewatch on my part is in order.

"Watership Down" is without question my favorite animated film. I love the animation itself, which does have a few sequences where it changes. Of course the story is excellent. This was the first PG cartoon I ever saw, when I was 10. I didn't quite know what hit me, but I loved it!

There's a lot of anime I watch (TV series and movies), and I agree many of Hayao Miyazaki's films are very good! "Spirited Away", "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" and "My Neighbor Totoro" are personal favorites. "Junkers Come Here" from director Junichi Sato ("Sailor Moon") is another largely unseen anime film I love! I love "Sailor Moon" and "Cardcaptor Sakura" TV series and the theatrical movies spawned from them as well. There's tons of anime I love, but mainly TV series. I bought the movie "Perfect Blue" mostly because Junko Iwao voiced the main character, Mima. She also voices Tomoyo Daidouji, my favorite character from "Cardcaptor Sakura".

"The Secret of NIMH" is such a good movie I bought it on DVD twice! I got the 2 disc newer version, but it didn't have the trailer. I found the original DVD, which is fullscreen but does have the trailer, in a discount bin. However, it was repackaged in a new case and didn't have the 8 page booklet! I want that booklet!!

"Heavy Metal" is good too. I like the "B-17" segment the most.

One I really like that hasn't been mentioned is Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, I watch it every Halloween and it's probably the only movie with musical numbers in it that I can stand. It's one of those movies where you wonder how much you'd like it as an adult if it hadn't been a childhood favorite but I guess there's really no way to know that. I think the first time I saw this was after coming home from one of the NY Parks Department's haunted walks still terrified by the very real looking Headless Horseman they had riding around.

I absolutely adore Disney's THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW. I even like THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS.

At first I wondered if this was maybe the other cartoon included on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow BD/DVD that I've never watched but now I see it's something else; looks cool, I haven't seen much stop motion.

Yes this is the other short, the one with Mr Toad. Its traditional 2d animation. Basil Rathbone narrates. Theatrically they were released together as one feature.

The stop motion thing isn't Disney, its a British tv series based on the same book.

Also a big fan of LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW. The Blu is pretty darn spiffy too, making the jump from VHS to Blu was stunning.

Some real good stuff there. I'm always happy to find another person who's a fan of KIRIKOU AND THE SORCERESS. Gorgeous film. I also rate TRIPLLETTES OF BELLVILLE pretty high. I had a great time back in 2003 seeing that in the theatre.

I took a bunch of 8 or 9 year old girls to see Kirikou. They liked it, but mostly all they talked about afterwards was Kirikou penis. I bet Tolch would like it, too.
                          Is it the penis?

Thanks. Just realised that I completely forgot to add these two to the list above.

                            33) Violence Voyager (2018)
                            34) The Burning Buddha Man (2013)

I have got several animated films I've yet to see including a DVD-R of this one which I've heard great things about.

The Thief and the Cobbler (1993)

It really does read like he thinks you'd like the penis, doesn't it?

It sure does. And really, penises are just weird.
