Watched this again on 4K. I liked it more than I did in the theatre, now that I knew what I was getting, if that makes any sense.
For the most part, I just like taking in the visuals and the soundtrack. Brad Pitt is so chill, and DiCaprio is great as well. Casting was well done for the most part, except for Smallmouth from Homeland as Steve McQueen...he's fucking horrible even in his bit role, and his wardrobe and wig are atrocious. I could've done without Robbie's manky feet all over the camera in the cinema, but whatever. Glad I watched it again. It's definitely one of his better ones in the past bunch of years.

I haven't had time to get too far into this but its.... something. if you thought Tarantino needed an editor on the screen wait till you see him on the page The chapter about Cliffs love of foreign cinema has to be one of the most long winded boring things I've ever read. I don't care which Japanese films Cliff likes. Or maybe I do but keep it brief please. It just keeps going and going. I assume these are the film Tarantino likes- which could be intersting- but it means less when its being filtered through Cliff because maybe they're Cliffs takes rather entirely Quentins
Find his prose awkward too which surprises me. Doesnt help that its written in the present tense. That always hits my eye wrong."Never let the fact that they are doing it wrong stop you from doing it right." Hyman Mandell.

dude is in a lot of shows and podcasts right now to promote the shit out of his book. I recently checked out his interview on marc maron's podcast ... boy, seems like he hates his father with a passion and refuses to ever meet him.
I didn't know that tony tarantino and al pacinos estranged dad made some shitty crime movies in the late 90s - need to check them out asap.
