  • Dolph Lundgren is the AQUAMAN Villain!

    Haha..
    Good for Dolph.

The '80s action icon will appear as an antagonist called King Nereus who presides over his own underwater kingdom. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lundgren's character will set his sights on killing Jason Momoa's Aquaman.
Discussing the tone of the Aquaman movie, James Wan told Collider last year: “I kind of don't want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I'm going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story… It's ultimately a quest story in the spirit of Raiders Of The Lost Ark meets Romancing The Stone

He's one of a couple of villains. Another is Patrick Wilson.

Good! I dislike comic book films but I like Dolph immensely and will be there opening day. He needs the visibility and like it or not, comic book drivel is still the "in" thing culturally. His career has just about flatlined. Again.

He was in the comic book series ARROW earlier this year and was excellent in it. ARROW, however, sucks...

Lundgren or Wilson? Wilson is playing Aquaman's evil brother, the Ocean Master. Not sure whether he'll be completely evil this time out or whether they'll save it for the next film. Sounds like a Loki/Thor type thing might happen.

Saw it at the cinema and as far as comic book drivel goes it's pretty fun. Dolph was the only reason I even went to see it and he does a good job. Let's hope they bring him along for potential sequels. The film itself is way too fucking long though. Also fuck cinema audiences. How hard is it to shut the fuck up for two and a half hours and not constantly peek at your phone. Teenage scum! Anyhoo... Aquaman is aight. Go see it while you still can. Some truly amazing FX work in there.
