Love these two together but on a submarine??? Eeeh... Prepare for new depths of suckage. None of them are stellar actors, though Van Damme A LOT better. They need a higher concept and a bigger arena to run around in. Color me sceptical even if I do love them both, dearly.

Yet Dolph is a better actor then pretty much every other swede, aside from Max Von Sydow.

Von Sydow is pretty much the gold standard. I also enjoy Bjí¶rn Granath for some reason.

Dolph is a national treasure no doubt. He sadly just can't escape the Ivan Drago shadow. EVERY interview or talk show he does there's some clueless asshole going: "... So... Ivan Drago, right.... *mock russian accent* I must break you... Rocky 4 right?".

What has he done now, like some 40 movies over 30+ years. Must be infuriating as hell. From years of headlining budgetarily handicapped but solid action vehicles, to being second or maybe even third banana to Denise freaking Richards in some third rate Die Hard on a plane knock off. FFS!

Lundgren is smart enough to know his limitations...and to play to his strengths...he obviously loves making movies...and has been able to maintain a pretty constant career for a long time.

"This time action movie icons have signed on to appear in Dawn's Light Media's action film Black Water, where Van Damme will reportedly play an operative who finds himself imprisoned by the CIA on a submarine.

There's no word yet on Lundgren's character. The script written by Chad Law reminds the Escape Plan film with other muscle movie icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger."

No fair. I was travelling and more or less off the grid.

                          I'll merge them now.

Thanks for this, Swede. Any time I ask a question about a movie I get a "You know there's a website where they're talking about this...."

VCD has been doing good work for the past number of years. Could be promising.
