  • Army of One (2016) Nic Cage)

    Anyone see this one.
Allegedly based on a true story of some American weirdo going over to Pakistan to try abd catch Osama Bin laden...on a mission from god (Russell Brand)

Dont know what Cage is trying to do here with his performance.....

I have almost rented it on my Cable VOD service a couple of times, but always selected something else instead. This will be seen eventually though.

He seems to be trying to outdo his outlandish performance in his WICKER MAN....but someone should tell him SHOUTING his lines in astrange accent isnt really tip top acting.....nor does it produce laughs....I hate Brand imensely so I might never see this..especially if the trailer has all the best bits....which would be ZERO so far...

Maybe it's just me, but I think that film looks hilarious! Haven't liked a Cage film in awhile, but I'm ready for his comeback.

A shame it went direct to video. It looks like fun and it has Wendy Mclendon Covey from Reno 911.

This thead made me finally take the leap and rent this. Wow. Nic Cage overacts more then he has ever overacted before, which says quite a lot. Sometimes it is funny and works. Most ot the time it is just bad. The film itself is somewhat funny, but feels very rushed and half assed. But the premise is quite funny, and that almost saves the film from its rushed appearence and Nic Cage overacting.

Oh, and I almost forgot: Any film that mentions American Ninja and Michael Dudikoff is a film I recommend. So watch this, all of yous!
