Yeah I heard she had a heart attack the other day but I actually hoped she would pull through. Sad and yet again shocking news.

I bet Disney are in a real quandry now with the next star wars sequels.

Heartbreaking news given what a significant role she played in the childhoods of pretty much anyone born in the 1970s and afterwards. I don't know how I'm going to break this one to my own children: they're in love with the Star Wars films and will no doubt see news of her death on the news or in the newspapers tomorrow.

60 is much too young, but I can't help thinking that Fisher's and George Michael's deaths from heart attacks - so close together and at what are, in this day and age, relatively young ages - speaks volumes about the long-term effects of cocaine on the heart.

      RIP, indeed.

I'm not a Star Wars fan as I've said before but I've enjoyed her 'don't give a fuck' attitude during interviews.

Haha...yeah, if u read her life story you can DEFINITELY say she was a free spirit who just dodn't give a f#@# what people thought...but she also had the problems that go with this kind of lifestyle....guess it helps as much as it hinders being the offspring of Hollywood Royalty....

Apparently she already filmed all her footage for Part 8 already....

Today at lunch at work we listed all the famous people who died during 2016, and one of the oldtimers asked when Princess Leia was mentioned: "princess of what country?"

So apparently not everyone in the world has seen Star Wars.

Slightly OT, but isn't the just released Rogue One "Part 8"?

                I am confused.

Rogue One was a spin off. She filmed footage for whatever the sequel to Force Awakens is called.

Oh Well. Here I was all impressed that they finished up the next film in the series. Spin off? Whatever. I'll go back to being oblivious about the whole thing. Thanks for the information, Alex.

Hey I was looking through the celebrity obits for 2016 and shit, had no idea that radio Raheem passed on. I can't stand Spike Lee and his shitty ass movies but I sheepishly admit that this scene from DO THE RIGHT THING had me busting up when I first saw it. "March-aaah? It's March mothafucker!"
