I'm curious about the two sequels starring Bo Svenson as Buford Pusser. I've seen that both are available to borrow from the library, but I'm wondering if it's necessary to watch Part II before you watch Part III. I'm more interested in Part III because it's rated R, so there's a greater potential for exploitation, as opposed to the PG-rated second installment. I'd like to hear some opinions on these sequels.

I can barely remember em, sadly. But Bo Svensson is top notch. The only Swedish actor on par with Dolph Lundgren as far as I am concerned."No presh from the Dresh!"

You need to see them all, they do follow on. PG was much harder back then. It all gets very meta as they go to the premiere of the original film. One way to cover up an actor change I suppose. As I recall, the 2nd film was much better than the 3rd anyway.Last edited by agent999; 07-11-2016, 06:00 AM.I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

The second and third are good entertainment. They're not on the level of the first, but definitely worthwhile."His lives inside of his own heart. That's an awful big place to live in."
-Billy Bob Thornton, 'Sling Blade' (1996)
"Some roads you shouldn't go down."

I spent the better part of the day watching this trilogy and I'm glad I watched them all in a row. What a bizarre series this is! The original is entertaining but pretty ridiculous; I remembered it being more realistic when I first saw it. Good entertainment, though, and surprisingly bloody. The second is kind of a dud; it has some good moments (like when Buford smashes a racecar driver's beloved car to pieces) but it's too damn slow. The third is the most interesting and absurd; it ignores the second film and has lots of weird scenes and unintentional laughs. It's very entertaining. The final half-hour is actually really clever and wraps things up in a surprising way.Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?
