    The Cotton Club (1984) Coppola's Longer Cut

    It's not top tier Coppola, but I'd be interested in this if it gets released. The longer Apocalypse Now didn't better the original, but the extended Outsiders definitely improved on the theatrical cut.

    Lionsgate is releasing this on Blu-ray on 12/10/19.

      Do you know if it's going to be the longer cut that Dark Horse 77 referred to, or just the standard theatrical?

        It's touted as the Encore version so it's the longer cut.

            For some reason I had a different movie in my mind. For some reason I was thinking this was an Eddie Murphy movie. It is not. Looks like it could be good.

                    I'm definitely looking forward to getting the extended version on DVD when it comes out. The theatrical cut seems like a mishmash of decent ideas not fleshed out.

                      Yes, haha. We figured this out last night. I guess the video/DVD covers are slightly similar. I'm guessing that's the only similarity. Haha.
