  • A Blu of Combat Shock and Story of a Junkie would be welcomed.

    • Hey China and Silk, that's good news, I see it was put out on DVD by TVX, I never saw it, but if TVX put it out on DVD that is pretty much a guarantee the picture quality was horrendously bad, so I will definitely be picking up the VS release. Oh I was going through my DVD's and watching stuff I hadn't seen in a while, and a movie that would be a good one for VS to redo is an Anthony Spinelli film called High School Memories. It's got Annette Haven and Jamie Gillis, it's a great classic, and the DVD is pretty poor, and would definitely benefit from a better dvd or blu ray release.

      • From the latest newsletter:

In March, we are very excited to bring one of the great forgotten horror films of the 70s, Marc Lawrence's masterpiece of psychological horror, PIGS, to Blu-ray, in its original director's cut, which has never been available on home video in any format!

Oh yeah...Tobalina will be back in March. We know you missed him!

The rest of 2016 will bring a bunch of other 70s and 80s horror to Blu-ray, more Peekaramas, including films directed by Shaun Costello, Damon Christian, and Kemal Horulu, and the full DOLEMITE collection!

Etiquette Pictures is also gearing up for a couple gems in 2016. Can't wait to share them with you!

        • According to VS facebook, they are considering releasing the amazing adult film "Blue Ice" on blu ray. They put up 3 screenshots on their facebook page and it looks jaw droppingly beautiful to say the least.

          • Luther the Geek is on its way. My first VS release. I'll definitely be purchasing Pigs. I do not think I have ever seen it but have always wanted to just based on the artwork I've seen.

            • more Kemal Horulu, that's great news, and Shaun Costello, I hope it's Fiona On Fire, that movie is awesome. and more Tobalina haha, I have grown to like his films thanks to VS, I hope for some Alex De Renzy soon too! I know you VS said the films of Alex De Renzy were in poor shape, but I hope they are not so bad that they never be released :(

                • Hey, I noticed something about SENSUAL ENCOUNTERS OF EVERY KIND. The VS listing claims that this will be 86 minutes long, but all of the listings I could find state a 75-minute runtime, and the version online right now (I guess from this DVD?) is right around 73 minutes.

Is the VS print really 86 minutes? If so, that's awesome, because it would mean there is over ten more minutes of footage than previously available!

                  • That's a misprint that I've brought to everyone's attention a number of times but has still yet to be corrected. It runs 76 minutes, not 86.

                      Thanks for the clarification, John.

                      • Watched the Peakerama double of Robin's nest and Bella over the last two days. Yet again another glorious restoration. I wonder though why this only made it to dvd and not Blu-ray, especially considering the Sweet young foxes and Candy Double hit blu. This looks easily as good as those . I'm wondering if its because VS don't anticipate to sell as many units.

I think VS is being selective because of the fact that producing blu rays still costs an arm and a leg. However, VS will still release a reasonable amount of adult titles on blu ray this year so I am extremely grateful for their efforts. I do know on facebook whenever they ask if fans want to see a particular blue feature on blu ray, the overwhelming response is yes.

I'm sure VS is hesitant to release some of these on BD for that very reason. However, as a huge supporter of XXX content on Blu-ray, I have to admit that I would buy every single one of their hardcore porn titles on Blu-ray. In fact, I seem to recall that these were the reasons for not putting the Peaches double-feature on BD, yet, even with the damage on the third film, they both look great now that they've arrived, and I suspect that the trilogy release will sell well.

What I would love to see is for VS to get to where one Peekarama double-feature a month, and all of the standalone XXX titles like DIXIE RAY, could go Blu. Hopefully, we can get to that level someday. Imagine at least twelve BDs of classic porn every year from VS...it'd be like Columbia House for your penis/clitoris, or at least, that's how it would be for me.

After all, I know very little about classic porn, but if the movie has been remastered and is on Blu-ray, you can take my money immediately.

Don't get me wrong, I think its absolutely marvellous that these are even reaching dvd in glorious restorations at all. I was just curious as to how they work, in the sense that what makes it to blu, and what dosen't. I don't want to reach a point that I'm buying the dvds in their monthly pre-orders only for some of these to hit Blu-ray later ie Candy double, which I simply want to get on Blu-ray even though I bought the dvd.

                              • Speaking of Kemal Horulu, what are the odds of the 60s roughie SOME LIKE IT VIOLENT ever seeing the light of day again? Only release was Alpha Blue VHS.
