This is one of their strongest line-ups in a while for my taste, less 80s horror flotsam, a wider selection of genres and good films I want on blu. This plus Satan's Children from AGFA are going to hurt my wallet.
Wow, three immediate must-buys for me here I think.
(Was planning to wait for the UK release of 'Righting Wrongs', but the ample extras and groovy artwork have won me over I fear.)
It's been decades since I watched 'Shriek of the Mutliated', but I still occasionally bust out "FIELD TRIPS? They told me there would BE no more FIELD TRIPS!" on unsuspecting passersby. (I'm probably even misquoting that by this stage, but never mind.)
What a gloriously whacked out movie anyway - I'm looking forward to revisiting it in glorious HD.
I noticed that the print run for partner label releases has been cut in half for the standard edition: now it's only 500 per title. Kind of pushing the slipcovers a bit, which remain at 1000+.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

I'd just like to note here for the record that my VS order (comprising 'Righting Wrongs', 'Shriek of the Mutliated' and the Franco double-bill) arrived on my doorstep in London less than 48 hours after I received a dispatch notification from Connecticut, which is pretty incredible. I mean, I've literally waited longer than that for deliveries from my local off-licence.
Combined with their one-size-fits-all international delivery charge (which is only slightly more than some online retailers now charge for a single item from the USA) plus whatever mystic hoodoo they continue employ to avoid bullshit VAT/customs charges, they are currently providing a great service to us foreigners.
